Invitations issued by British Columbia under Canadian PNP are officially referred to as Invitations to Apply [ITAs].
The BC PNP Tech is not a separate category.
ITAs by British Columbia through BC PNP Tech go out to candidates eligible for the existing categories of – Skills Immigration [SI] and Express Entry BC [EEBC]. EEBC is linked with the federal Express Entry system. SI category runs independently. Both the BC PNP categories of EEBC and SI target skilled workers. |
There are around 80 immigration pathways available under the PNP of Canada, many of them linked with the federal Express Entry system.
A PNP nomination = 600 CRS points for an Express Entry candidate, thereby guaranteeing an invitation to apply by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada [IRCC].
Canada PR through Canadian PNP is a 2-step process –
[1] Firstly, a PNP nomination will have to be secured.
[2] The Nomination Certificate issued can then be used for applying to IRCC for permanent residence in Canada.
With the latest BC PNP draw, a total of 8,161 ITAs have been issued by the BC PNP so far in 2021.
