The province of British Columbia in Canada has invited another 422 candidates to apply for being nominated by the province for permanent residence in Canada.
The latest round of invitations was held by British Columbia on September 28, 2021. British Columbia is a part of the Provincial Nominee Program, commonly referred to as Canadian PNP.
Invitations to apply are issued by the British Columbia PNP for Canada immigration hopefuls that might be eligible for any 1 of the 3 pathways –
- Skills Immigration [SI]
- Express Entry BC [EEBC]
- Entrepreneur Immigration [EI]
Both SI and EEBC are targeted at skilled workers. However, while the EEBC is aligned with the federal Express Entry system, the SI stream runs independently.
The province of British Columbia in Canada is expected to have 861,000 job openings between 2019 and 2029.

There are around 80 immigration pathways or ‘streams’ available under the PNP of Canada, many of these are linked with the federal Express Entry system.
The Express Entry system comes under the purview of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada [IRCC]. Federal draws are often called IRCC draws.
For a IRCC Express Entry candidate, a PNP nomination is a guarantee of being issued an invitation by IRC to apply for Canadian permanent residence through the Express Entry system.
A PNP nomination = 600 CRS points.
