British Columbia is among the 9 provinces and 2 territories in Canada that are a part of Canadian PNP. Acquiring permanent residence in Canada through the PNP is a 2-step process. After securing a PNP nomination, the second step is that of applying – to Immigration, refugees and Citizenship Canada [IRCC] – for Canada PR.

BC PNP Tech is not a separate category or stream as such. Under the BC PNP Tech, invitations to apply are issued to candidates eligible for the Skills Immigration [SI] or Express Entry BC [EEBC] categories, provided they had a job offer in BC in any of the 29 key occupations.
The category of EEBC is linked with the federal Express Entry system of Canada. A PNP nomination is worth 600 CRS ‘additional’ points for an Express Entry candidate.
The CRS score is allotted out of a maximum of 1,200 points that are allotted following an assessment on the Comprehensive Ranking System.
