Canada has reduced the work experience of foreign nationals who want to apply for permanent residence under its Caregiver programs. The work experience has been slashed in half, and the work experience required now will be one year compared to the earlier requirement of two years.
By cutting down the work experience, the government expects more caregivers and their families to come and become eligible Canadian permanent residents. Caregivers play a significant role in the lives of aging parents, growing children, and people who need special care.
