The US Embassy in Manila made an announcement on Tuesday that Immigrant Visa Applicants from Philippines are required to fill an online form from Oct. 2, 2014, before attending an interview in person.
An applicant has to submit the form at Consular Electronic Application Center. It has to be duly filled with all information prior to the interview. The Embassy said that applicants with incomplete online form will have to reschedule the interview to a future date.
The wait for another appointment can take 3 to 6 weeks of time. So it is required for all the applicants to complete DS-260 form in advance to avoid any lengthy delays in getting the US Visa.
That being said, applicants have to visit the official US online appointment website for Philippines and schedule an appointment for a immigrant visa.
