- Outline & develop aerospace systems, vehicles, and components like aircraft, missiles, space-based communication systems, and spacecraft.
- Develop & conduct computer simulations of aerospace systems, vehicles, and components that operate on advanced mathematical modeling.
- Prepare specifications for processes & materials to utilize in aerospace maintenance, repair or modification, and manufacturing.
- Manage & coordinate the manufacturing, modifications, assembly, repair & overhaul of spacecraft and aircraft.
- Co-ordinate with the ground and flight tests of air & spacecraft
- Develop maintenance schedules, operational schedules, and operators for the manuals.
- Develop and prepare technical phases of operational and logistical support for aerospace systems & vehicles.
- Investigate & report on the structural or any other components or accidents/incidents or system failures and suggest recommendations for necessary action.

Eligibility criteria for Aeronautical Engineers
To be eligible for an Aeronautical Engineer job, the candidate must have the –
- Graduation in aerospace or aeronautical engineering or any engineering-related discipline like Engineering physics or Mechanical engineering is needed.
- A Master’s degree or a Doctorate in any engineering discipline which is related is needed.
- A Professional Engineering license needed by the Provincial or Territorial association is needed to get approval for engineering drawings and to practice as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.).
- Engineers are considered eligible for registration following Graduation from a recognized educational program and 3-4 years of monitored work experience in the field of engineering and provide professional practice examination.
