French salaried employees’ visa
- To apply for this visa, the candidate must submit proof of employment contract that the DIRECCTE advocates.
- This visa lets you stay and work in the country for a year.
French work visa for creating & running a company
- To apply for this visa, the candidate must submit additional documentation and proof of sufficient funds to manage your business.
- This visa lets you establish or manage a business or collaborate with a French company.
French work visa for professionals and independent workers
To apply for this visa, you must first check whether your occupation falls under the given criteria as some professions are not accessible to nationals of Non-EU countries like –
- Insurance general agents
- Notaries
- Bailiffs
Some professions will need prior consent from the relevant occupational organization –

French long-stay visa for volunteer work
To apply for this visa, you will have to start the application process from a French-based association or organization familiar to French officials and must be supervised by the concerned charity.
French international organization work visa
To apply for this visa, the candidate must be associated with a registered French organization and tied up with an official assignment.
French long-stay sports visa
- This visa is for sportspersons with permission to enter and reside in the country for a year for sports-related purposes.
- Candidates who get paid for their stint will have to apply under the “Salaried employee” category.
- Candidates not get paid must opt for a “visitor visa.”
Requirements to apply for a French work visa
- Two recent passport size photographs
- Completed visa application form
- Proof of funds
- Proof of payment of fees.
- Criminal clearance certificate
- Passport valid for a minimum of 3 months after your planned stay in France ends.
