DENMARK IMMIGRATION FROM INDIA

PERMANENT RESIDENCY

After eight years of temporary residence in Denmark, you can apply for a permanent resident visa. A four-year stay is required in some circumstances.

At any time, you can seek for permanent residency. You do not have to wait until your current residency permit expires to apply. However, your application must be submitted before your current resident permit expires.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

You must be at least 18 years old.

You are still in compliance with the conditions of your current residence permit.

You’ve been a resident of Denmark for the past eight years.

You passed the second Danish language test 2.

• In the four years preceding your application for permanent residence, you have worked for at least three years and six months.

• You have passed the Danish language test number three.
• You’ve been at your current job for at least four years.
• You passed the active citizen exam or demonstrated active citizenship in some way.
• You earned more than 286,525 DKK every year on average (42,695 USD).

The processing time for a permanent residence application could be up to eight months.
