New Brunswick announced NBCWP, a five-year program
New Brunswick announced a new pilot program which is a joint project between the province and the federal government to invite immigrants to work in Canada. The name of the new pilot program is New Brunswick Critical Worker Pilot. The program will provide economic immigration and it will also guarantee settlement services. These services will include skills and language training.

Employers selected for the NBCWP
Besides inviting new immigrants, the province will also take care of retaining the newcomers through meaningful work. Six employers have been selected to work with the new pilot program and they include:
- Cooke Aquaculture Inc.
- Groupe Savoie Inc.
- Groupe Westco
- Imperial Manufacturing
- D. Irving Ltd
- McCain Foods

- Excellent track record in the New Brunswick Provincial Nominee Program
- Good immigrant recruitment services
- Necessary settlement programs
Eligibility for the selected employers for NBCWP
The eligibility criteria for the six selected employers are as follows:
- Employers need to have settlement plans related to accommodation and transport so that individuals can be successfully established in their new communities and jobs.
- There should be strong commitments to retain the employees for a long time.
- Have excellent human resources planning for hiring and recruitment of new skilled international talents and enhancing their on-the-job skills.
- Language training for,200 hours should be provided
- Guiding and supporting the newcomers to have a Canadian secondary education equivalency
The New Brunswick Critical Worker Pilot is a five-year program which will be monitored regularly to deliver the desired results for the province.
