Newfoundland and Labrador, known for being a friendly province, has revealed the details about the three 2021 draws. These draws took place under the Priority Skills NL stream and targeted candidates having specific skills and experience in technology and healthcare occupations.
A total of 663 invitations were issued to Newfoundland & Labrador Provincial Nominee Program (NLPNP) candidates related to technology and healthcare professions.
Details about Priority Skills NL Three Immigration Draws in 2021
In October 2021, the Priority Skills NL Immigration Draws issued 260 invitations, in which the majority of them were Software Developers, and the rest of them were from other technology occupations.
In September 2021, 22 candidates were invited, and surprisingly all of them were Developers like Software Developers, Cloud Specialists, AI Developers, Python Developers, and Web Developers.
In June 2021, a total of 381 candidates were invited, which most of them are:
- Licensed Practical Nurses (NOC 3233)
- Other health-related National Occupational Classification Codes

What is Priority Skills NL?
Priority Skills NL main objective is to fulfill the vacant occupations in demand in Newfoundland and Labrador. Candidates need to have a high level of educational qualifications and language ability.
Interested and eligible candidates should register an Expression of Interest, and the candidates with the highest scores are invited to apply for the NL PNP.
Expressions of Interest (EOI) are usually accepted from the following:
- Candidates have a minimum of one year of work experience in the past ten years in any in-demand occupations in the province.
- Candidates have Ph.D. or Master’s from Memorial University in the past three years in Technology, Health Care, Aquaculture, or Agriculture.

Eligibility criteria for Priority Skills NL Immigration Draws
Candidates who are willing to migrate to Newfoundland and Labrador through NLPNP should have:
- Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) level 5 or higher in English
- IELTS or CELPIP test score within the year
- 21 years
