Nova Scotia to invite more permanent residents by this year end
Nova Scotia has set a record of welcoming new permanent residents this year as per the report from IRCC. In the first 9 months of 2022, the Atlantic Province welcomed 10,670 permanent residents. It is being expected that the province will welcome a total of 14,227 permanent residents by the end of 2022.

The details of welcoming new permanent residents through different programs are mentioned below:

Nova Scotia Nominee Program
Nova Scotia may invite a total of 6,407 new permanent residents through the Nova Scotia Nominee Program and show a growth of 181 percent by the year end.

Atlantic Immigration Program
The number of invitations can go up to 8.4 percent in comparison to 2021 and the province may invite 2,900 immigrants this year.

Federal Skilled Worker Program
Federal Skilled Worker Program can wrap up the year by welcoming 253 new permanent residents.

Temporary Resident to Permanent resident Pathway
Invitations through the TR-to-PR pathway can go up to 1,740 which is 89.1 percent more in comparison to 2021.

Invitations through the Family Sponsorship programs can go up to 1,067 this year which will be 46.1 percent more in comparison to 2021.

Refugee programs might invite a total of 1,160 new permanent residents by the end of the year.
