On March 3, 2021, the government of Quebec has announced 3 pilot programs for meeting “the specific needs of Québec’s job market”.
As per the official intimation, the Minister of International Relations and La Francophonie and Minister of Immigration, Francization and Integration, Nadine Girault, have announced the publication in the Gazette officielle du Québec of the “Regulation to make three permanent immigration pilot programs”.

| For orderlies
[Note. As per the Regulation, for the purposes of this program, the terms ‘orderly’ and ‘profession’ mean the profession of nurse aide, orderly and patient service associate, as per the National Occupational Classification [NOC] code 3413. |
Allows an individual to settle within Quebec permanently if they are a temporary foreign worker that is working in Quebec as an orderly. | · Proficiency in spoken French
· Work experience as an orderly in Quebec · Hold a job as an orderly in Quebec at the time of submitting their application |
From March 31, 2021 until January 1, 2026. | 550 per year |
| For workers
in the artificial intelligence, information technologies and visual effects sectors |
Allows an individual to settle in Quebec permanently if they are – · A foreign worker in visual effects and information technologies, or · A foreign worker or a Quebec graduate in Artificial Intelligence [AI]. |
· Proficiency in spoken French [if applying under the Francophone profile]
· Hold or have accepted a job in the visual effects, information technologies, or AI sectors. |
From April 22, 2021 until January 1, 2026. | 550 per year

Those meeting the conditions of any of the pilot programs might submit an application for permanent selection and obtain their Certificat de sélection du Québec [CSQ].
Quebec has updated its list of professions eligible for simplified processing. The list is effective February 24, 2021.
