SAT is not the same as SAT Subject Tests. There are some basic differences between the two –

SAT scores are used by colleges for admission purposes and for granting scholarships

SAT Subject Scores can be regarded as additional information which the colleges might need for working out admission and course allocation. In certain cases, a college might ask an applicant to appear for more than 1 Subject Tests.

400 to 1600

200 to 800

What is tested?

SAT tests you on – Reading, Writing & Language, Math, and optional Essay.

1 subject is tested in each test. About 20 subjects – such as, English Literature, Science, Language, Math, and History – are available to choose from.
