To be eligible for the FSWP, skilled work experience in either managerial, professional, or technical jobs and skilled trades will be required. The Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP), on the other hand, is for those looking to take up permanent residence in Canada based on their being qualified in a skilled trade.
