Rules for Indian Travellers
Turkey has relaxed all the conditions for travelers to enter the country. And expects to welcome the highest ever number of Indian tourists this year. Before that, Indian travelers must submit either a vaccination or booster dose certificate or an infection test negative report to visit Turkey. After relaxing the restrictions, the Indian travelers no longer have to provide proof of vaccination or a negative RT-PCR test result, or even a proof of recovery.
Turkey's Tourism
Turkey tourism experienced a record-breaking 103 % growth in 2021 by earning USD 25 billion in revenue. This 2022 Turkey's tourism is all set to create a new record.
Out of 30 million international visitors, 50,000 were Indian tourists, a substantial number considering the pandemic.
Turkey's Tourism department expects a full recovery in tourism this 2022 by aiming to welcome international tourists, including Indians.
With the current improving pace, Turkey expects a gain in tourist footstep to return to the 2019 level as the high demand for international tourism has bounced back. People are willing to travel to encounter and experience new destinations.
