The University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) is a public university in Los Angeles, California. It was officially opened in 1919.
UCLA offers 337 undergraduate and graduate degree programs in diverse disciplines and has more than 47,500 students. Of them, more than 32,000 are undergraduate students and 14,300 are graduate and professional students.

UCLA is divided into the College of Letters and Science and 12 professional schools. Its campus which is spread over 419 acres is home to 163 buildings.
Foreign students make up 22% of the total PG students. More than 35% of foreign students pursue Civil Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering. The most popular PG programs in the university apart from engineering are LLM and MS Computer Science.
UCLA opens itself for applications in August and accepts them until November end. Foreign students willing to join CLA require a GPA of 3.6, which is equivalent to 89% to 90%.
