The University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) is a public university in Los Angeles, California. It was officially opened in 1919.

UCLA is divided into the College of Letters and Science and 12 professional schools. Its campus which is spread over 419 acres is home to 163 buildings.

Foreign students make up 22% of the total PG students. More than 35% of foreign students pursue Civil Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering. The most popular PG programs in the university apart from engineering are LLM and MS Computer Science.

UCLA opens itself for applications in August and accepts them until November end. Foreign students willing to join CLA require a GPA of 3.6, which is equivalent to 89% to 90%. They also need to get at least a score of 100 in TOEFL for undergraduate programs. For graduate programs, a score of 80 is a minimum. 

They also need to submit a statement of purpose (SOP) and personal statements for MS programs. Students applying for MBA programs need to attend an interview round also. UCLA takes decisions on admissions by late March for new joiners.

Though the university does not offer scholarships to foreign students, there are various job opportunities on campus. CAMPUS OF UCLA

Students need to be enrolled at least for a half time at UCLA and show financial requirements with an expected family contribution (EFC) of $12,000 or less to be able to apply for work-study programs at UCLA.
