The Tepper School of Business is Carnegie Mellon University’s business School which is located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, US.
The university’s campus, which is spread over 140 acres, offers degrees beginning from the undergraduate to doctoral levels. Also offered by the school are executive education programs.
Founded in 1949 as the Graduate School of Industrial Administration (GSIA), it was renamed David A. Tepper School of Business in March 2004 after receiving a $55 million present from David Tepper, an alumnus.
Tepper School of Business specializes in analytics-based management science. Among the various programs offered at the school are MSC in business analytics, computational finance, and product management and undergraduate degrees in business and economics.

International candidates comprise about 20% of the total population of 650 odd students. Its STEM MBA program is recognized globally. International students opting for it can take Optional Practical Training (OPT) to apply for a 24-month extension after its completion, as it provides them with three years of temporary work in the US.
The school has an acceptance rate of 27%. Aspiring students applying to Tepper school need to have a mean GPA of 3.32, which is equivalent to 85%, and a score on GMAT ranging from at least 680 to 720.
