70,000 Blue Card Holders in Germany in 2021
According to the Federal statistical office, the German government stated that Blue Card holders increased substantially in 2021. In Germany, about 70,000 highly skilled professionals got their Blue Cards. This is an increase of 6% compared to the previous years.
The Destatis revealed that most cardholders who worked in Germany during the last year from India and every three members out of ten were highly qualified professionals and had graduated from German top-rated educational universities.
The German Federal office for migration announced that the minimum annual gross salary requirement has been cut down by 0.7 percent since January 1, 2022. The federal office for migration says the minimum gross salary is £56,400.

Germany makes getting a PR easier, with the new bill on July 7, 2022
The new regulation bill that the German Cabinet presented is for immigrants who stay in Germany for a year without any long-lasting permission to stay there and are eligible for permanent residency, once the new migration bill is approved.
The migrants who qualify for this need to apply for one-year residency status and can later apply for Germany’s permanent residency. The applicants must speak German and earn enough to support themselves and their families. Also, the applicant needs to prove that she/he is well-integrated into German society.
The Cabinet advocated this new migration bill that would apply to around 136,000 people who have been living in Germany for the last five years by Jan 1, 2022.
